ABOUT Cambridge Institute of Technology

Umesh Education Trust was founded in the year 1964. The mission of the Trust was to 'Impart Quality Education to all sections of the Society' Established Cambridge School in the same year presently affiliated to the Council of the Indian School Certificate Examination Board the present strength of the school is 690. Mr. D.K.Mohan, former President of the City Municipal Council, Krishnarajapuram, Bangalore is the Chairman of Cambridge Group of Institutions. Today, Four decades later, Umesh Education Trust through Cambridge Institute of Technology (CiTech), is in the forefront among providers of quality education in the State of Karnataka. Ideally located on a verdant ten acres overlooking Krishnarajapuram, and 200 mts off old Madras Road, the college is accessible to all the important areas of Bangalore. The bus network covers all corners of the city and important junctions. Cambridge Institute of Technology (CiTech) Library and Information Centre is one of the best engineering college libraries in Bangalore. The Cambridge Institute of Technology central Library has five floors with carpet area of 22550 sqft. The main aim of the Cambridge Institute of Technology library is to support the students, research scholars and faculty members to access the outstanding learning resources to meet their ever growing and uncompromising information and intellectual needs. Cambridge Institute of Technology Library has been automated with LYCEUM, an integrated office automation software with all modules for Cambridge Institute of Technology library house-keeping operations. Cambridge Institute of Technology Library has very good collections of books with 16259 volumes and 3000 titles. Cambridge Institute of Technology Library has subscribed 91 National Journals and three e-journals packages for the benefit of library users. Cambridge Institute of Technology Library has an institutional membership of DELNET and the Cambridge Institute of Technology library users can access more than 4193 online journals related to Engineering, Management and other allied subjects. Cambridge Institute of Technology Library and Information Centre has a digital Library with 30 systems and 30 mbps internet connection. Cambridge Institute of Technology Library users can browse the net from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm. A Cambridge Institute of Technology digital library software Dspace has been installed and Cambridge Institute of Technology library has very good collections of 2518 previous year Question Papers, e-Booksrelated to Engineering, Management,Personality Development, Biographies, Novels, etc. All these resources can be accessed and downloaded within the Cambridge Institute of Technology campus. Cambridge Institute of Technology Library will be kept open from 8.30 am to 10.00 pm from Monday through Friday and 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and other general holidays.

Cambridge Institute of Technology HOSTEL

Cambridge Institute of Technology College has hostel for both boys and girls within the Cambridge Institute of Technology campus, with separate buildings. Cambridge Institute of Technology boys hostel has Total no. of rooms are 86 and facility will be expanded based on the requirement. Separate canteen facility with capacity of 200 at a time is under construction. Each room can accommodate 3 students with basic facilities. 24 hours water and electricity (with inverter) Hot water, Reading Room, Cafeteria and Mess, RO based mineral drinking water, Gymnasium and indoor sports equipments along with indoor Shuttle court and play ground attached. First Aid medical service with necessary equipments. Planned for digital library and Wi-Fi internet facility.

Cambridge Institute of Technology girls hostels has Total no. of rooms are 40 and facility will be expanded based on the requirement. Separate canteen facility with capacity of 200 at a time is under construction. Each room can accommodate 3 students with basic facilities. 24 hours water and electricity (with inverter), Hot water, Reading Room, Cafeteria and Mess, RO based mineral drinking water, First Aid medical service with necessary equipments. Planned for Cambridge Institute of Technology digital library and Wi-Fi internet facility.
