At Dr. SMCE students who opt for Hostel facilities will enjoy a home-like atmosphere. There are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, within close proximity to the Dr. SMCE  College. Round the clock security ensures that our students are safe at Dr. SMCE. The Dr. SMCE  hostel buildings are remarkable pieces of architecture. The architecture of the Dr. SMCE  hostels is inspired from the traditional design used in places where general climate is very hot. Because of the carefully designed structure the temperature inside the buildings remain comfortable even in extremely hot weather conditions. The Dr. SMCE  hostel provides the students with daily newspapers and various magazines to make them aware of the daily happenings of the world. Access to e-journals like DELNET and Science Direct is provided to the students to enhance their technical acumen. The Dr. SMCE Centre takes pride in its enviable collection of more than 13,085 books, 104 technical periodicals (hard copy), 216 online (IEL, ASME) back volumes of journals and is still counting. LIC has subscribed to various journals, databases, and other serials, majority of which are available online. The non- book collection includes1389 CDs, Video Cassettes, VCDs and DVDs, 15 Audio Cassettes and 130 Charts.
