Impact College of Engineering & Applied Sciences

ABOUT Impact College of Engineering

Impact College of Engineering (along with the campus of Impact Polytechnic) is just about 5 years old with some blocks still under construction yet a pleasant campus to be in. The lectures are conducted in the main building and the various department labs are spread all over the Impact College of Engineering & Applied Sciences
campus. The Impact College of Engineering & Applied Sciences hostel which is worth a short description. The Impact College of Engineering & Applied Sciences hostels are absolutely unfurnished with rectangular cells which feel nothing better than a jail; and just a bare minimum bed for sleeping arrangement has been provided. The charges for the Impact College of Engineering & Applied Sciences hostel are Rs. 45,000 and another Rs. 10,000 towards mess charges. Whether you stay alone or share it with a friend, the fees would not be shared. But the other facilities provided are good nevertheless. There are no water problems (even in summers) and the bathrooms are clean. Tiffin service has improved a lot now after the students went on a strike against the canteen service provider. The Impact College of Engineering & Applied Sciences students say that the erstwhile canteen provided good food for the staff and the management but not for the Impact College of Engineering & Applied Sciences students.

There are indoor sports facilities which include carrom, Table Tennis and the Gymnasium room which is under construction. There’s also a television room and everyone has access to an internet connection for themselves.
For the learning part, the Impact College of Engineering & Applied Sciences library has subscription to online resources, apart from the various textbooks and reference volumes.  The labs are equipped with the required instruments and the practical sessions are also performed unlike many other colleges.

Impact College of Engineering & Applied Sciences Located in a rural setting, Kodigehalli, Impact College of Engineering is a 2 kilometer ride from the Bangalore-Hyderabad Highway off the Kodigehalii Main road. Around 18 to 20 KMs from Majestic in a BMTC bus followed by a ten minute walk will get you here. But only around 25% of the Impact College of Engineering & Applied Sciences students here actually come from distance so long. Most of them are hostel-ites, so they do not have to worry about commutation. There are also a few students in every batch who have their own set of two-wheelers, and some come from as far as 45KM.
