The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2002 by the Trust and offers Seven Undergraduate courses and three Post Graduate courses with an annual intake of 623 students. Currently a total of 1,480 students are studying in this institution. The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology is certified with ISO 9001-2008 by BSI U.K. Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology is training the students in various disciplines of UG courses, such as ISE, CSE, BT, Mech, E&C, E&E and Civil Engineering, In addition to the various PG courses, such as Business Administration, Biotechnology, and Machine Design at postgraduate level. The Department of Biotechnology has an R&D Center offers Msc engineering by research and PhD. The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry and Physics offers PhD programs also.  Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technologyis one of the most beautiful Campus spread over 10 acres and it is surrounded by an array of green clad and looks like a spark house of knowledge and wisdom. The magnificent buildings and the beautiful garden with floral invitation attract the inmates and on-lookers. There are separate hostels for boys and girls providing comfort and homely atmosphere.  The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology has an excellent infrastructure. All the departments are well equipped with good laboratories. The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology has a very good academic ambience. The Students are punctual and regular in attending classes. Modern facilities are used for effective teaching such as LCD projectors, Over head Projectors and interactive CD’s. The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology provided with EDUSAT, a VTU Satellite Communication which is an E-learning program with an interactive facility. Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology is one among the 30 institutes which have this facility out of 130 Engineering institutions in the State. VTU has also accorded the E-Vidya facility by setting up servers with learning materials a worth of Rs.1.5 lakhs, ours is one among the few of the colleges of the State. A central computing facility and internet with high speed connectivity of 14 MBPS leased line which is kept open for the students daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.  Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology has Central Library, which provides the central support services. The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology library homepage will provide electronic access to various full text and bibliographical databases. The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology Central library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROM, On-line databases, e-journals, e-books, audio video cassettes, books, journals, project reports etc. Apart of academics, the Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology also encourages the students to participate in various Curricular and Co-Curricular activities like Paper Presentation, Extempore, Debate, Sports, Culture, Yoga, Management games etc at Intra and Inter college level. In all the endeavors we are moulding the students under the guidance of our Managing Trustee and with the support of Governing Council Members to make this institution to achieve the academic excellence in its own style and fashion.

To satiate the need of the students the Shashib College of Engineering  has established a library which has a vast accumulation of plenty of authenticated books on various branches of Engineering & Technology.

Shashib College of Engineering HOSTEL

The Shashib College of Engineering provides Hostel Accommodation to the students coming from outstation. For female students there is a separate provision for hostel accommodation. Hostel remains compulsory. For admission to the Shashib College of Engineering hostel the students will have to apply in the prescribed application form separately. The first comers will be adjusted first in the Shashib College of Engineering hostel. The principle of "First Come First Serve" will be applied in the cases for admission to the Shashib College of Engineering hostels. The Shashib College of Engineering hostel fee have to be deposited at a lump-sum for one year (only lodging charges), The students will have to abide by the rules and regulations of the Hostel living. The prescribed hostel fee will have to be deposited within time by the student admitted to the Shashib College of Engineering hostel. The Shashib College of Engineering mess will be fully managed & shared by the students. Shashib College of Engineering Students are liable to pay the actual cost of their share. Shashib College of Engineering Mess too remains compulsory for hostellers. In the Annual Hostel Fee Mess charges is not included.

The allocation of the rooms to the students is subject to their depositing the concerned hostel fees to the Shashib College of Engineering. The boarders are not allowed to interchange their rooms. The warden can shift the students from one room to the other without assigning any reason. Extra electrical appliances such as heaters, air conditioner, coolers, reflectors, radio. T.V. etc. are not allowed within the boarding room. The roll call time is 9 P.M. when each boarder is to be within the Shashib College of Engineering hostel premises. Absentees will have to pay a fine of Rs. 5.00 per day. The Shashib College of Engineering will equip the room with a study table, a cot, a tube light, and bulbs etc. When the hostellers vacate the room he/she will leave all the furniture and light fittings as such. The furniture of one room will not be transferred to the other room by any of the hostellers. Cooking or boiling of any sort is not allowed inside the Shashib College of Engineering hostel rooms. Table lamps, lock and key are not provided by the Shashib College of Engineering. The hosteller will arrange these for himself/herself. The inmates are required to keep the rooms neat and clean. The sanitary sense ought to have been observed by them. During the institute study hours the boarders should not remain within their rooms. If found, they may be fined. Smoking, gambling and the use of intoxicants or the video cassettes strictly prohibited within the premises of the Shashib College of Engineering hostel. No explosive can be brought stored within the premises of the hostel. The Shashib College of Engineering hostel fee have to be deposited at a lumpsum for one year (including lodging & boarding) For any damage to the room wares the dwellers shall be solely responsible and they will have to bear the expenses incurred in the repair. The boarder will have to undergo their medical checkup from time to time. Dwelling outside the hostel premises after 9 p.m. will not be allowed without the written permission of the warden. Girls will be allowed after query from their parents or guardians. The Shashib College of Engineering hostels are provided with common bathrooms and modern style toilets. Shashib College of Engineering Hostel fee too remain non refundable. Caution money however, be refundable with due deduction, if any. Obedience and discipline are the most essential requirements for stay in the hostel. Any act of indiscipline and moral depravity may throw a student to suspension for a definite period or even expulsion from the institute outright. The above rules are tenacious and are subject to change any time at the discretion of the warden or the person of the institute. The warden will observe the obeyance of the aforesaid and regulations. The decision of the warden on any time of the Shashib College of Engineering hostel affairs shall be final and binding on the boarders. It will always remain unquestionable. Shashib College of Engineering Hostel and mess remains compulsory to all outstation students unless and until for special reasons.
