ABOUT Acharya Institute of Technology

Acharya Institute Of Technology, is a private co-educational engineering and Management College in Bangalore, India, affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and Acharya Institute of Technology accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Acharya Institute of Technology Established in 2000, Acharya Institute of Technology offers eleven undergraduate courses and eight postgraduate courses. Acharya Institute of Technology includes the NRV School of Architecture, which offers a five-year undergraduate course in architecture and is accredited by the Council of Architecture (COA). The Acharya Institute of Technology College has links and collaborations with various industries and universities across the world. Acharya Institute of Technology is one of the several institutes run by the JMJ Education Society and features in various ranking lists of top engineering colleges in India published by media agencies and publications like Outlook, Competition Success Review (CSR), Dataquest, NASSCOM, The Week and Electronics For You. In 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 rankings, Acharya  Institute of Technology was ranked among the top five Engineering colleges in Karnataka by the Global Human Resources Development Centre (GHRDC). Acharya Institute of Technology features as an AA+ institution in the rankings of the Careers 360 magazine. The CSR-GHRDC survey, in 2009 rankings, listed the college as the most promising engineering college in India. The Acharya Institute of Technology received the South India's Excellent Institution Award from A-Plus TV Media Works. The AICTE- CII survey of industry linked engineering institutions, in 2012, has ranked Acharya  Institute of Technology as No. 2 in the South- Western region comprising the states of Karnataka and Kerala and No. 13 in India.

Acharya Institute of Technology organises the Acharya Habba, an annual week-long inter-collegiate cultural festival that is one of the largest in Bangalore and Karnataka. The Deccan Herald lists Acharya Institute of Technology as one of the "notable" colleges to apply the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) for admission to postgraduate management courses.

Acharya Institute of Technology CAMPUS

The 120-acre Acharya Institute of Technology Campus nestles in a green environment in the outskirts of Bangalore city. The development has been in sync with nature, where least space has been utilised for structural development leaving a large portion, green. Beautiful gardens, flower beds, fruit and flower bearing trees, park furniture, water ponds, and fountains mark the Acharya Institute of Technology Campus' distinction - which has come for appreciation from both students and discerning visitors. The Acharya Institute of Technology College has a Central Library with EDUSAT programmes, E-learning facilities and an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) gateway. Acharya Institute of Technology has various collaborations with multinational corporations and has established learning facilities like the Vasundhara Industrial Automation Learning Center, the IBM Software Center of Excellence, the Microsoft IT Academy and the Novell Centre of Excellence. The International  Academy for Competency Enhancement provides students and recent graduates with English language skills and technical training to equip them for work in industry. The Acharya Institute of Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IBM and has established the IBM Entrepreneur Incubation Center on the Acharya Institute of Technology campus.

The Acharya Institute of Technology provides all-hours Wi-Fi access on Acharya Institute of Technology  campus. Acharya Institute of Technology has an auditorium with a capacity of over 500 seats, board rooms, conference and seminar halls. The Acharya Institute of Technology has its own multipurpose stadium, the Smt. Nagarathnama Stadium, with a capacity of over 10,000 people. The Acharya Institute of Technology has a National Technical Manpower Information System (NTMIS) and an ATM outlet operated by Axis Bank. The Acharya Institute of Technology operates a campus clinic to provide medical facilities to the students. Acharya Institute Of Technology has been awarded with "Technical Campus" status by AICTE.

Acharya Institute of Technology HOSTELS

Acharya Institute Of Technology provides hostel accommodation for both boys and girls. The Acharya Institute of Technology hostel mess serves North Indian and South Indian. The Acharya Institute of Technology has a food court, a cafeteria and a canteen, which serve vegetarian food. The Acharya Institute of Technology campus also houses a Coffee Day Xpress operated by Coffee Day.
