ABOUT Akshaya Institute of Technology

Akshaya Education Trust was established in the year 2003 with the mission of imparting the best quality education to all sections of the society. The Trust has rendered the service to the society in the field of education and health by establishing an Akshaya Institute of Technology, nursing college and college of education. The college has their Akshaya Institute of Technology building with highly qualified Akshaya Institute of Technology staff and good infrastructure. The Trust is proud that the students are placed well, around the country and abroad. Akshaya Institute of Technology started PG courses in the year 2012. The Akshaya Institute of Technology campus is spread over 25 acres of land with lush green lawns away from the maddening crowd. The Akshaya Institute of Technology campus has wide spread buildings with an administrative block and an academic block, there are spacious lecture halls and well equipped laboratories. There is a well-stocked library and a tidy workshop. Akshaya Institute of Technology is one of the rural engineering colleges in Tumkur District offering Technical education to rural students in the state of Karnataka, setup with the objective of imparting high academic excellence to produce world class engineers. In this direction the Akshaya Institute of Technology  has developed a well qualified & dedicated faculty along with laboratories, containing equipments of research level. This Akshaya Institute of Technology has a mission & vision to facilitate grooming of the engineers of tomorrow. Akshaya Polytechnic is a student centre place and our endeavor is to ensure that our students get the best that is needed to create outstanding engineers.  Akshaya Institute of Technology Campus has well built up area and good academic infrastructure with lush green water harvesting, environment preservation.

Akshaya Institute of Technology LIBRARY

Akshaya Institute of Technology Library , the treasure house of information is the nerve center of intellectual activity of any institution. Akshaya Institute of Technology Library and information center is located in an independent spacious block with area of 587 sqm, at present library has 6559 volumes, 1468 Titles and reference books, periodicals, reports and standard specifications. 8 National and 4 International journals are also subscribed. Akshaya Institute of Technology library provides Separate Reading Room and News paper section provided in the library. The Akshaya Institute of Technology Library has a separate Internet Browsing Center with 25 nodes that interconnected and provided with 100 Mbps connectivity.

Akshaya Institute of Technology HOSTEL

The Akshaya Institute of Technology girls hostel has capacity for 350 students. Each student is provided with an almirah, cot, table & chair as well as English & Hindi newspapers. The Akshaya Institute of Technology students are taken care by providing daily three meals, T.V. for their entertainment. Sweet dish and special diet are provided on Saturdays & Sundays. The Akshaya Institute of Technology hostel timings are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The students are also provided with 24 hrs. telephone & Internet facility. There is a movement register for the inmates which is strictly followed. The Akshaya Institute of Technology hostel is guarded by 24 hrs security guard. The Akshaya Institute of Technology  boys hostel has initial capacity for 400 students. The Akshaya Institute of Technology students taking admission in 1st year are encouraged to reside in hostel so that they are safe from ragging. Each student is provided with an almirah, cot, table & chair as well as English & Hindi newspapers. There is T.V. & sports (both indoor & outdoor games) for their entertainment. There is in-house Multi-Gym for those who want to keep themselves fit & healthy and 24 hrs Telephone & Internet facility. They are given three times meals per day & special diet on weekends. The Akshaya Institute of Technology students make use of college bus in attending college daily. There is 24 hrs facility for security guard.
