ABOUT Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology

The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2002 by the Trust and offers Seven Undergraduate courses and three Post Graduate courses with an annual intake of 623 students. Currently a total of 1,480 students are studying in this institution. The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology is certified with ISO 9001-2008 by BSI U.K. Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology is training the students in various disciplines of UG courses, such as ISE, CSE, BT, Mech, E&C, E&E and Civil Engineering, In addition to the various PG courses, such as Business Administration, Biotechnology, and Machine Design at postgraduate level. The Department of Biotechnology has an R&D Center offers Msc engineering by research and PhD. The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry and Physics offers PhD programs also.  Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technologyis one of the most beautiful Campus spread over 10 acres and it is surrounded by an array of green clad and looks like a spark house of knowledge and wisdom. The magnificent buildings and the beautiful garden with floral invitation attract the inmates and on-lookers. There are separate hostels for boys and girls providing comfort and homely atmosphere.  The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology has an excellent infrastructure. All the departments are well equipped with good laboratories. The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology has a very good academic ambience. The Students are punctual and regular in attending classes. Modern facilities are used for effective teaching such as LCD projectors, Over head Projectors and interactive CD’s. The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology provided with EDUSAT, a VTU Satellite Communication which is an E-learning program with an interactive facility. Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology is one among the 30 institutes which have this facility out of 130 Engineering institutions in the State. VTU has also accorded the E-Vidya facility by setting up servers with learning materials a worth of Rs.1.5 lakhs, ours is one among the few of the colleges of the State. A central computing facility and internet with high speed connectivity of 14 MBPS leased line which is kept open for the students daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.  Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology has Central Library, which provides the central support services. The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology library homepage will provide electronic access to various full text and bibliographical databases. The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology Central library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROM, On-line databases, e-journals, e-books, audio video cassettes, books, journals, project reports etc. Apart of academics, the Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology also encourages the students to participate in various Curricular and Co-Curricular activities like Paper Presentation, Extempore, Debate, Sports, Culture, Yoga, Management games etc at Intra and Inter college level. In all the endeavors we are moulding the students under the guidance of our Managing Trustee and with the support of Governing Council Members to make this institution to achieve the academic excellence in its own style and fashion.

 The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology library uses the Dewey Decimal Classification for assigning subject codes to books and also uses Libsoft software package which is an integrated multi-user library management systems that supplies all in –house operations of the ibrary. The Libsoft software consists of modulesanacquisition, cataloguing, circulation,serials, OPAC etc. Bar-code bases circulations system implemented
