The BNM Institute of Technology Library
& Information Centre is presently housed in the BNM Institute of Technology
Auditorium building with an adequate space to house the Circulation & BNM
Institute of Technology Digital Library Section in Ground Floor and Reference
& Technical Journals Section in 3rd Floor with a seating capacity of 150
members at a time. The BNM Institute of Technology Central Library as well as
MBA Department Library which is housed in 1st Floor has total document
collections of over 29,448 volumes reference and textbooks with 6641 distinct
titles. The BNM Institute of Technology Library & Information Centre
subscribes to over 110 National and more than 37 internationally acclaimed
print Journals covering of all branches of Engineering and Management programme
as well. Besides this, it has over 1450 bound volumes, 1325 learning CD-ROMS,
several Data Books, Project Reports, Micro documents, etc.,
The completely automated Library Management
System has made BNM Institute of Technology Library easy to all its activities
through Bar-Code interface with an EPAC facility. The Digital Signature Pad is
the unique one in its Circulation Section to obtain signature for every
documents that are being issued to its members. All the documents have been
classified as per AACR II of Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) and
systematically shelved on Open Access. The BNM Institute of Technology modern
Library & Information Centre provides uncompromising information and
intellectual requirements to BNM Institute of Technology students and faculty
members with a user friendly approach. BNM Institute of Technology offers a
fully integrated and dynamic environment for conducting academic study.
Multiple copies ensure that resources are easily available in Reference Section
and Circulation Section as well. The BNM
Institute of Technology Digital Library is set up by using open source Dspace
Software to access the Institutional Repositories like e-books, e-journals,
faculty publications, etc, by the BNM Institute of Technology students and BNM
Institute of Technology staff members. Also, NPTEL (National Programme on
Technology Enhanced Learning) facility is provided across the campus through
the institute local network for unlimited access to Video Lecture and Web
courses of eminent faculties from IISc and IIT’s in Engineering and Science
subjects. In addition to this students and faculty members can access its peer
contents directly from NPTEL website. The BNM Institute of Technology Library
& Information Centre has the IIM Library Membership enabling MBA students
and faculty members for refer to the other member libraries for additional
information for their research/projects. To cater to the wide range of
information services to the users, BNM Institute of Technology Library &
Information Centre has well qualified, rich experienced and trained competent
staff comprising 9 Professional staff members with an aim and vision to make
the BNM Institute of Technology Library & Information Centre the best
Knowledge Resource Centre among Engineering colleges Libraries in the state.
BNM Institute of Technology HOSTEL
The BNM Institute of Technology boys hostel
located close to the institution is well equipped to accommodate about 150
students with facilities like home away from home. All the students are
provided with a Study Table, a Chair, a Cot and a Cup-board for comfortable
stay and studies. The BNM Institute of Technology hostel mess is well equipped
with stainless steel kitchen equipments and other facilities. A residential
warden stays at the hostel to take care of the needs of the BNM Institute of
Technology students all the time. A 24 hours security is provided at the hostel
for the safety of the BNM Institute of Technology students.
The BNM Institute of Technology girl’s
hostel located in the BNM Institute of Technology campus is well equipped to
