Global Academy of Technology CAMPUS
Global Academy of Technology Located in a
sprawling campus of 10 acre land Global Academy of Technology has contemporary
multi-media smart classrooms, modern laboratories, seminar halls, auditorium,
an up to date library with volumes of recommended and reference books along
with e-journals and well equipped computer centre. Students at Global Academy
of Technology experience 24 x 7 high speed Wi-Fi facilities and web based CMS
& LMS for video streaming which is an integral part of e-learning. Global
Academy of Technology provides ample opportunities for various co-curricular
and extra-curricular activities for the students. A large cafeteria and well
maintained hostels for both boys and girls are available. The Global Academy of
Technology campus brims with more than 2000 students and 300 experienced staff
involved in effective Teaching and Learning Process. Fully established
mentoring, peer learning and counseling by proctors ensure holistic development
of all students. Global Academy of Technology has academic alliances with
various industries and research organizations to provide current industry
perspective to the Global Academy of Technology students.
The Global Academy of Technology is blessed

of Technology canteen adheres to the highest degrees of quality, hygiene and
great care is taken by the kitchen staff to assemble a well-balanced nutritious

atmosphere in the Global Academy of Technology canteen has transformed it to
one of the most popular places for the students to hangout. The food and
refreshments are offered at affordable rates. Adequate seating facilities are
provided to accommodate Global Academy of Technology students and staff even
during peak time.
Global Academy of Technology LIBRARY
Global Academy of Technology has a state-of
the-art Library with a collection of more than 30000 books, 250 technical
journals (69 Indian and 167 International), 2300+ CDs, 300 Floppy disks, etc.;
Library is located in a central place of the Global Academy of Technology
building occupying an area of 540 Sq meters. Entire document collection is
computerized using Libsoft package. Global Academy of Technology Library has a
server and five client PC's. The databases of Global Academy of Technology Library
are accessible to the PCs in the campus through LAN. Accessibility means you
can conduct search on any subject and make reservations using individual ID and
Password, A small section of books are devoted exclusively for consultation
within the Global Academy of Technology Library and hence each such book is
stamped as "REFERENCE COPY". The following are some of the types of
Reference books stocked by Global Academy of Technology Library. In order to
make the books easily accessible to the students and faculty, entire book
collection is being classified according to Dewey decimal classification and
arranged on the shelves according to subject sequence. Each book bears a
classification symbol, which helps both students and staff either to locate or
replace the books to the shelves. To keep abrest of latest developments in
information technology, the Global Academy of Technology central library is
fully computerized using Libsoft package. Global Academy of Technology Library
activities such as acquisition , cataloguing, journal control, Issue Returns,
etc. are computerized. A Web OPAC ( Open Access Public Catalague accessible
through LAN and internet) is available to facilitate searching, retrieving and
reservation of books by any author title or on any subject quickly and efficiently.
OPAC is also connected to LAN inside the Global Academy of Technology campus
and also accessible on internet for Global Academy of Technology students and
staff.
Global Academy of Technology Library has
created a Book bank for the benefit of the SC/ST students. Another book bank is
also developed since 2008 to lend extra book/s to merited students. All
students and faculty members of Global Academy of Technology are eligible for
borrowing books and other types of documents from of the Global Academy of
Technology Library. An extra book is lent to each student who secures 75% or
more marks in semester examination. Global Academy of Technology Students and
faculty members can borrow four and eight documents respectively at a time from
Global Academy of Technology Library. The same have to be returned to Global
Academy of Technology library on or before the due date marked on each book or
journal lent out. Books can be renewed for a period of two more weeks if there
is no demand from other readers. The borrower should take adequate care to
protect the book from water, insects, etc. If a book is returned in damaged
condition, then the twice the cost of the same will be recovered from the
borrower. Tearing of pages, writing on books and magazines by pencil or pen is
strictly prohibited. If anyone is found guilty, then he she will be subjected
to disciplinary action. The loss of book/journal should be reported to Global
Academy of Technology library immediately to avoid escalation of overdue
charges. Silence has to be strictly maintained within the Global Academy of
Technology Library in order to facilitate students to pursue studies for longer
hours without any external disturbance. Smoking is strictly prohibited. Books
and other documents taken out of the shelves for reading must be left on the
tables after reference. This practice can avoid misplacement of documents.
